Texas Medigap Plan D is one of the standardized Medigap plans available to Medicare beneficiaries. Do not confuse this with PART D, which is for prescription drugs.
A Medigap Plan D covers all the Medicare cost-sharing that you would normally be responsible for except the once-annual Medicare Part B deductible and the Medicare Part B Excess charges, if any provider that you seek charges excess. Excess charges occur when your doctor doesn’t accept Medicare assignment. They can add up to 15% to your total bill.
Sometimes our clients feel confused by the terms Part D and Plan D. If you find this confusing, please call us and we’ll help break it down for you.
